BABY GEORGE (Room 105)

from $500.00

BABY GEORGE (Room 105)

George Harrison was born, the youngest of four, on the 24th February 1943 to Louise and Harold Harrison.  Bizarrely George and his family mistakenly celebrated his birthday on the 25th February for most of his life until it was discovered from official records in the 1990’s that George had been born just before midnight on the 24th, not just after midnight on the 25th as had been believed!

George had brothers Peter, Harold and sister Louise.  Unlike John, Paul and Ringo, he did not lose any of his parents at a young age.  However, he did develop a rebellious streak and became a Teddy Boy at his secondary school, The Liverpool Institute in the City Centre.  George had to travel to and from the City Centre every day, which usually took an hour, and it was on this daily bus journey that he met and befriended an elder boy from the same school, Paul McCartney.
